This is the primary reason i won't sign up for the paid version and am still hunting for an another app. The best way to clear my email inbox is to forward the emails to my GTD app inbox. But I cannot do this when the attachments are lost.

Thanks for the suggestion. In some ways the Next Action list is really what you want. It contains all of the next actions available for you to do right now. It’s where I go first thing when I want to start doing actual work.

Since this list contains all actions available for you to do right now, I’m not sure I completely understand the need for a list with all action on it. This is what the Projects and Actions view is for.

To make it easier to view just active actions, we did add an “active” filter to the P&A view. So this will filter out any scheduled, waiting or someday actions from the view. If the next action view isn’t exactly what you are looking for hopefully this will help.

If I understand the original poster, the requested feature is to identify higher-priority projects and to filter and show only those projects. E.g., I might have ten active projects, but I want to focus on only three of them this week. there should be a way to mark those three projects and filter a view that shows ONLY those three projects and tasks from them.

Interesting. We have thought about making Tags Hierarchical, but had not thought about it for Areas. We will think about it.

One thing I don’t think I agree with is having “Bills” be an Area as Jolygod gives as an example. That seems more like tag to me.

Areas are intended to be Areas of Focus in your life. So examples would be Work, Family, Side Business, Personal, Spiritual, etc.

For those of us who work with clients, hierarchical areas would be great (eg, under WORK, have areas CLIENT 1, CLIENT 2, etc.) It would make it really easy to process the inbox by client (something I accomplish now by assigning client tags when collecting)
