This is now completed. GTDNext works in offline mode.

Sounds like some clever caching... Does anyone know how hard this would be to implement? (I don't.)
As an interim just having something that one could browse but not edit, would suffice.

As Anonymous - I have a morning commute to/from work by train which would be ideal opportunity to review/sort. Ideally would like to be able cope with a choppy connection or synch at both ends.

This is an absolute must for me. I frequently find myself stuck in places where I boot up my laptop and have no internet connection. Offline access to GTDNext is critical to actually get things done at those times.
Once I can open GTDNext in my browser (or preferably, Chrome app) and work within it without an internet connection during the whole time, I'll gladly make the full switch. So far, I've only found that Todoist does this well. All other Chrome app / "offline" GTD tools break when loaded without a connection.

Hopefully the mobile app will be working off-line and will then sync back. Regarding offline for computers, I'm ok for a Chrome app to or a Windows Store app.
Thank you in advance for your consideration -

This is a big issue in the absence of a mobile app. Not sure if you can go down the Chrome App route?
I spend time on my train commute, where i'm connected only ~50% of the time, doing my tidying up and preparing for the day/next day.
Offline is important.
