Context One Click Feature
I propose that a feature be added to handle contexts that would solve some of the problems that currently exist with using "tags" feature for the purposes of applying GTD context to items.
I propose a feature that:
1. combines the one click assignment of the "focus" function with
2. the button functionality of the area filters, including the all important no area button.
3. If desired, icons for home or phone or computer could be selected for each context, instead of a red button for focus.
Why do this? There are so many problems with the current system of using tags, and this is one idea to solve the problem. The problems with using tags for context include: 1) TIME WASTING: it takes 5 mouse clicks to assign a tag to an item, and 5 times each item is a lot of work just to contextualize your action list, which is a central principle of GTD. The tediousness of the current way of applying tags makes it almost not worth the time. 2) TAG AUTO CHANGE ISSUES: Tags are currently set up to change automatically if other actions in a project are added with a different context, which defeats the purpose of having context unique actions within a project.. 3) NO NULL VALUE: This means you can "lose" items quite easily when in a tag filter if you remove the tag before assigning another.
Thank you!

If I understand this request correctly, this would be utterly brilliant.
i.e. While you are adding a task (or editing it) with the GTDNext user interface all the Tags are already displayed. So rather than go to the Tags field and start typing, all you would need to do is a single click on the relevant Tag, and "job done".
As things stand, when you are working fast Tags are a serious pain to enter, and as a result too often I simply don't bother. This feature would make tags about 10 times faster to add.
Brilliant suggestion. 3 votes from moi.
